is one of my favorite teachers and trainers. He is pleasant to listen to, he has much of value to say, and the simplicity of his messages is powerful!

I have listened to Brian’s articulate and highly motivating training audios for hours, mainly while commuting. Brian himself has been a voracious learner, demonstrated by his own impressive self-education.

Brian Tracy’s Education and Career in a Nutshell
Brian attended high school, but left without graduating. After working in sawmills, factories and on construction projects, Brian got a job on a ship and travelled the world.

As a next step, when he returned home, Brian got his real estate license and became active in renting, leasing and selling commercial property. Within a few years, he became the COO of a large real estate development company. When the company was sold a few years later, Brian transitioned to a new career as a professional business speaker and trainer.

Brian Tracy’s Philosphy
Brian’s key advice on education is to learn continuously, and over time. Whether it is learning an industry, a technology, a profession, or a valued skill, Brian’s advice has always been to spend some time each day, ideally at the beginning of the day, reading, thinking…working on building your knowledge and skill.

Here is Brian’s philosophy in a nutshell, in his own words:

“You are the architect of your own destiny; you are the master of your own fate; you are behind the steering wheel of your life. There are no limitations to what you can do, have, or be. Except the limitations you place on yourself by your own thinking.”

What were Brian’s results from living this philsophy?

In spite of the fact that he never even graduated from high school, Brian practiced continuous learning…educating himself along the way! Over the course of over 30 years, he studied, researched, wrote and spoke in the fields of business, personal success, economics, history, philosophy and psychology. He also authored 55 books that have since been translated into 42 languages and made available in 60 countries.

The Motivational Takeaway from Brian Tracy
Just thinking about Brian Tracy’s accomplishments is motivating, and that’s why I’m writing about him. As I noted above, I’ve spent many hours listening to Brian. But even more so, it’s motivating to think that, even with little formal education, Brian was able to learn to set goals, and worked to achieve them, systematically, over time. Whatever YOUR goals, may they look less formidable and more achievable because of Brian’s stellar example.
